Product thinking हमेशा problem से शुरू होती है, feature से कभी नहीं। पूछो: user कौन है, उसे कौन सा outcome चाहिए, और कौन सा pain उसे रोक रहा है? एक अच्छा problem statement इन तीनों को इतना साफ़ बताता है कि एक designer उस पर काम शुरू कर सके।

Problem statement template (class): "User को यह outcome चाहिए, इस insight की वजह से।" "blind लोगों के लिए smartwatch design करो" (class example) जैसे design question में, features से पहले key nouns खोलो - "blind" असल में कौन है, और "smartwatch" को उनके लिए क्या करना चाहिए।

Innovation कदम-दर-कदम होता है। Wright Brothers से पहले भी balloons और zeppelins थे - airplane अगले stage के लिए बेहतर solution था। Uber से पहले भी लोग travel करते थे। Build करने से पहले market readiness check करो और validate करो - असली users से बात करो, imaginary personas से नहीं। "सही" solution इस पर depend करता है कि मौजूदा options क्या नहीं कर पा रहे।

Class case - Bistro by Blinkit (10-minute food): लोग try करते हैं लेकिन वापस नहीं आते। Class ने खोजा क्यों - खाना fresh है या नहीं, menu repetitive है क्या, refunds मुश्किल हैं क्या, trust है या नहीं? Discounts से trial आता है, habit नहीं। सीख: retention perceived value, freshness, trust और habit पर टिका है, और इसके लिए evidence चाहिए, अंदाज़े नहीं।
